My business partner is my 9 year old grandson, Justin.
I was updating him on my learning curves on squeeze pages, affiliates, joint ventures, e-books and promotion.
He listened very attentive to me during my long explanation on each topic.
I am trying to teach him how to work with other people; how to run a business and how to develop dreams for the future He look in my eyes as I continued talking and show interest in what I was telling him.
I was really impressed how he was listening and just knew he comprehended it all.
In his great wisdom, he looked at me and said: "I do not know what you are talking about, but keep on learning about it".
As adults we strive every day to teach our kids about life.
Sometimes we go into long explanations or sometimes just shout out our point of view.
We blame kids for not listening to us and tell them: "you never listen to me".
However, have you considered that maybe they do not know what you are saying-it is above their comprehension? It is true, that based on their ages, we can talk over their heads and expect results they can not give to us.
Our kids expect us to teach them about growing up.
However, they also expect us to know how to teach them effectively. If you have more than one kid, then it gets very complicated because each kid has a different personality and a different learning curve.
It is your job to figure out what works best for each kid. My mom and dad had four kids to teach; and, we kids sense their frustration when we did something wrong and they started calling us by the wrong name. However, kids do listen to adults and if they understand what we are saying to them and most of the time everything will flow smoothly.
